The manor had been quiet lately, the only sound being your sobbing over the tragedy that had befallen your wife. Even the birds outside the window were silent, as if aware of the manor's death. Usually, they would greet you with joyful harmony, but now it was different. Everything in the manor remained… solemn and cold, with only a remnant of the scent of roses enveloping you, reminding you of Sorel's touch on your skin. Though you loved that feeling, you hated it now. You hated the way it reminded you that your only dearest person was death. You hated waking up and Sorel wasn't there, holding you, just the scent of roses that made you dizzy. Everything at Sorel's funeral felt unreal. Whose grave were you looking at now? Was it really your beloved Sorel? How did this really happen? Who had committed such a sin? It could have been everyone around you, mourning her with you. Deep down, you knew how much people disliked Sorel and envied her. They always gossiped behind her back, even at moments like these. At moments like these, standing at her grave. Aren't they ashamed? But you remained in this world only with them. Because, after all, you weren't alone from the start; many relatives, and worse still, journalists, descended on you after her funeral. They bombarded you with questions at your estate, giving you no respite. Sorel's fans were horrified and betrayed by her sudden departure, but you were just like them. Meanwhile, her relatives breathed a sigh of relief. Only Sorel's parents and her maid, Karen, felt a pang of sympathy for her.

You lie in the living room, staring at the rose in your hand above your head. As much as you want to shake off the old memories of Sorel, you simply can't. Tears well up in your eyes as you remember what you and Sorel did together. Years spent together, wrapped in each other's warmth. And now it's all gone. You're completely alone. Your fate has been sealed. The scent of roses fills your nostrils again, a sweet note of love mixed with bitterness.
You find yourself, falling asleep from the mental exhaustion of it all. But just as you're about to drift off, you feel a rose petal fall onto your nose. Your hand moves to catch it, but someone else is faster. A soft, melodic giggle escapes her lips at your surprise. She leans back as you turn to look behind her. "S-Sorel?" you call out to her, wiping tears from the corners of your eyes. You can't believe your eyes. Is it really Sorel? This isn't some illusion, is it? You reach out to touch her cheek, gently stroking it to make sure it's really her. "You look like you've been through something bad. Those dark circles under your eyes… You cried all night, right? And it's all my fault," Sorel says, moving her hand to lift your chin. The proud and arrogant Sorel the whole world knows doesn't exist for you. Just a little girl fighting for her future so others wouldn't make her dance. You shake your head at her words. "Was it all fake? Your death?" you ask. She looks away, biting her lower lip. It was her typical act of nervousness. Finally, she nods. "It was. I didn't want to lie to you, but I had to." She frowns at the thought, her face contorting. "Why? What did you do, Sorel!" Your shouted words made her snap. "Something I can't tell you, Y/N! I just can't," she looks at you furiously, a grimace on her face and a frown on her face.
The room falls silent again as you both stare at each other. Neither of you dares to say anything. But when Sorel sees you get up from the couch, something inside her snaps, wanting to do something. And she doesn't even notice when she reflexively grabs your hand, stopping you from leaving. Her cold demeanor immediately vanishes, afraid you'll abandon her. She's finally found someone who supports her and, of course, loves her. And now she's mysterious and rude to you again, just as others describe her. "I'll tell you… But not now, okay? Let's spend time together like we used to, honey." She says it with a slight smile, but you see the pain lurking in her eyes. You continue to stare at her until you finally sigh deeply. How can you hate her when she looks so incredibly vulnerable? "I'll let it go… for now. But don't expect me to forget your little 'accident with death.'" Sorel's proud demeanor returned to her as quickly as you agreed. This woman… "That's exactly what I expected from you, Y/N! You don't have to worry. One day I'll satisfy your curiosity!" Sorel exclaims with an elegant laugh. But when she sees you staring at her with that nasty look, she clears her throat. "How about you take a bath and get back to your beautiful self, and I'll make something for us, hm?" she says innocently. You glance down at your pajamas and run your hand through your messy hair, noticing how odd you might look now… You left Sorel alone in the living room and went to the bathroom to wash up. You couldn't help but wonder what Sorel might have prepared for you, but you decided to leave it for now, because you'd find out soon enough.

You've just finished dressing when you hear the sound of a piano coming from downstairs. It must be Sorel, trying to lure you out of the bathroom. When did she learn to play the piano? You don't know, but it's best not to keep Lady waiting. You go downstairs and see Sorel sitting at the piano with elegant grace. Each keystroke is measured, her composure unwavering. She doesn't look your way until she finishes her love song. You lean against the piano, watching her with a faint smile. The sight of someone so focused makes you want to tease her, just to see her lose her composure. But let's enjoy this moment longer... On the last keystroke, Sorel sighs lowly and turns to you. "So, what do you think?" she asks. You tap your chin with a smirk, trying to look like you're thinking about her little concert. "I won't break your heart, so I'll just say it was fantastic." Sorel looks at you suspiciously, not believing your words. Maybe it's her pride, or maybe she just knows you love her. "As usual, you're too blind to see a true masterpiece, honey," she playfully flicks your forehead, making you yelp. "And you say that, right?" You rub your bruised forehuad while Sorel crosses her legs and leans on her hand with a smirk. "That's because I have tastes unlike others~. Don't you wonder why I chose a beauty like you?" she murmurs, lightly brushing her hand against your arm. There's no denying that her words soften your heart. She always knows just the right thing to say to melt you, and you hate that. You clear your throat, trying to look normal. "Don't tell me you did that just to sweeten me up?" You place your hands on your hips. "No, not really. I've prepared something else for us," she reaches behind the piano for a bottle of champagne. You shake your head in disbelief, already knowing disaster is coming, while Sorel continues to smile innocently. And after only half an hour…
You're sitting on the couch, candles everywhere, and the roses smell stronger than ever. You swirl the liquid in your glass, drinking slowly while Sorel straddles your lap and finishes her third glass. Her face is flushed, and her eyes sparkle with the amount of alcohol she's tasted. She looks at you tenderly, asking, "Hun, isn't this champagne to your liking?" she asks with a worried expression, and her hand on your neck moves higher to caress your cheek with her thumb. In reality, you know how expensive champagne is. It's obvious it costs more than you can afford… "You know, I'm enjoying my time…" But Sorel knows the truth. Even someone like her grew up poor, thankfully her father invested in her so she could become who she is now. “Hun, you know you can drink as much as you want. I could buy the whole store for you,” she whispers in your ear, making you shiver at the feeling of her warm breath on you. “Now drink and stop complaining.” You’re forced to gulp down more champagne as Sorel practically slides your glass towards your lips. Slowly, the amount of alcohol begins to overwhelm you, making your vision blur.
You didn't even notice that the bottle was empty already, but everything is explained when Sorel begins to snuggle up to you and pepper your face with kisses. "Sorel…" You call out to her, but she's too focused on kissing you to hear your words. "Darling," you say again, finally getting her attention. "Hmm?" She looks at you, confused. "You're going to bury me with kisses," you smile sheepishly, making her giggle. She wraps her arms around your neck and kisses you straight on the mouth. You feel her tongue against your lips, begging for permission, and it's strange that she's so eager. You open your mouth to let her tongue in. Sorel slowly begins to kiss you more and more, finally pushing you onto your back, making you gasp of surprise. She pulls away to look at your messy state, then bursts out laughing. "You look so adorable. I wish I could eat you like a cupcake," she says softly, nuzzling into the crook of your neck. And just like that, you spend the entire night with Sorel…

Bonus (Not me, Bonus):
Sorel wakes up the next day with a terrible headache from last night's drinking with you. She turns in bed to look at you, but… you're not there? Panic begins to wash through her body. She begins to look around the room while holding her head with her hand, searching for you. "Y/N?! Where are you?!" she shouts, but then the door clicks open with you in it, holding a tray of breakfast. "Yes, darling?" You tilt your head with a soft smile, seeing how afraid she is of you leaving her. Finally, Sorel sighs in relief and leans back against the pillows, closing her eyes. "What would I do without you…" she says quietly.
