Canonverse. Canon divergent. Four chapters. The titans have won and humanity is struggling to survive when all hope is gone.
The story is told in alternating POVs, chapters 1 and 3 are Levi's and chapters 2 and 4 are Erwin's. Very little action happens. It is dialogue heavy and you have to read between the lines to understand what they are trying to say. Both Levi and Erwin are reserved and struggle to put into words what they feel. Yet it is a great character study. Despite the depressing description this fic has an uplifting ending.
