Did you know that Morpho Menelaus is a beautiful butterfly native to Central and South America?

Their beautiful, iridescent wings get their blue from the shape of the scales on its wings. These scales are a point of interest among bioengineers for their colour, structural integrity, thermal regulation, lightweight, and hydrophobia.

This is a Morpho menelaus, specifically! :D Tne Morpho's bright blue color is actually structural, and not pigment!
