Morphtober day 21: Lion or tiger. Very rough but also the only prompt I did because it took over my brain.

In my head it’s one of those infinity scroller comics. Maybe some day I will do it justice.

Here's a drabble for morphtober.

Day 5: Flashback

The sunset was beautiful, he had to admit, even if he did prefer the day with its fluffy, white clouds and its sun and its warmth that gave him thermals to push him up and up and up.

But the sunset had its charm, with its yellows and orange and reds.

And red.

And for a second it flashed and it flashed and it flashed. The red and the blue. And the red. And the blue. Up and down.

Pain and pleasure.

And pain. And pain. And pain. And pain. And pai-

((Tobias?)) Ax asked.

The worried tone was a familiar one now. As was the expression, one stalk eye slightly higher than the other, the eye pointed at him slightly squinted in concern. For andalites, for Ax at least, concern was all in the stalk eyes. For the hork-bajir, it was in the tail, arched down, almost touching the ground.

Two years ago, he didn’t even know aliens existed. Well, not for sure anyway. Now he spent so much time with them he could read them like a book. He could tell, for instance, by the slight tilt of Ax’s head, that this was not the first time he had called his name.

((Sorry,)) he said after a second, when he remembered he should respond. ((Can you repeat what you said?))

Ax nodded, thankfully not looking annoyed. They were all so patient with him now. So sickeningly sweet. Marco didn’t even make a derisive joke the last two times Tobias spaced out for so long that Jake had to reexplain the entire plan to him.

When Ax repeated himself, Tobias only got half of what he said. He didn’t ask him to repeat himself.
