Silently watching, the crow circles above. It does not caw, no tell tale croak of the corvid. She lands on a branch and bears witness. No harbinger of doom, but an omen. She comes to witness an auspicious moment that affects the witch to their core.

A murder of crows is an appropriate phrase, because the death of your previous life is at hand. Reborn from your very bones, you are alight with potential. The bones have eyes, and they see the future.

Black tourmaline beaded chain in segments of nine. Accented with triple eyed bone beads and garnets. Hanging from the English Carrion Crow claw is a pendant of bloodstone and garnet.

I've been working on this for Her for a while now. Mostly on guitar but the lyrics keep changing!

The midnight feast the hunt the run

Each step is easier now. I never thought it would be this way.

So used to the heavy walk

On the broken ground

That the leaves never seemed to touch

When your legs burn as painfully as your heart

And there are no tears across your face

The wind has made sure of that.

Constant fear of the consequences that brought you to this place.

But what is there to be afraid of when you are already here?

And now, when those feared blows come to sweep away the progess,

I do not feel it as hard.

I have been to this place before, my footsteps still show me the paths I have taken.

There are certainly many of them. But I have walked them and I have learned from them.

Each time, I get up. And slowly, it gets easier.

This dude shouted at me on my way to the bus stop the other day.

To walk in to an oncoming storm is no easy feat. Because at first, there is only one thought: Danger!

And to walk in to such a place would be nothing but foolhardy.

To walk in to a situation that is no longer safe. No longer secure and surrounded by the anchors that comforted you.

Knowing that you do not know what is in the other side. That the world beyond the clouds will come crashing in, invading and challenging and frightening.

To know that beyond that first step is another, and another. More steps than you can count. That you must face each day on the other side. In some ways, never to return.

But the storm is coming. It comes closer each day, and one day it will reach you

The wind will whip your skin and rush through your ears. The rain will sting your face and your body will ache. But you will get through. Step after step.

The earth behind you is dry and cracked. Perhaps you didn't notice that before. But it begins to change. Saplings, small scraps of grass.

The more steps, the more it grows. There is a garden now, spreading out against the clear sky. The storm is behind you.

Who am I? What am I?

These are questions that you already have the answers for.

It is hidden beneath the many layers of the years that have taught you.

Obscured by the scars of wounds long healed.

It is a stone foundation that bears the tides, the winds. It holds steady and fast under constant attack.

There are those who do not wish for you to stand in it's hall. To look out from it's heights and see what is yours.

For when you do, they are no longer in control. They will have to fight. You will be able to fight back.

Every day this earth fights for it's right to exist. Our hearts push to keep our veins filled. Every new day, a battle has been won. Rise in the morning, victorious.

Do not be afraid. I am here, I will stay with you.

Life goes on. Always. Through victory and through loss. After the panic of chaos, when the leaves hit the ground.

Life goes on. Every death, birth. Those left behind and those who never arrived. The world cannot wait for them.

The sun will still shine, the roots will still grow. After each disaster, each change. Flowers grow in the ashes and trees in cracked cement.

Life goes on. And still a storm sits inside my chest. It rattles and rages. Great waves hit against my ribs and make my heart shake. It rises up to my throat.

But that is where it stays. Where it stayed when I needed it most. I have hidden from it, hidden it away. Bottled up the storm, thrown it behind walls. But it is there. It will not go away. It is a fire that will burn and I will use it as much.
