DRABBLE MEME: Without looking below the cut, send a number between 1-32
She couldn't stop asking why exactly she had been send on this mission. She would had complained but she wasn't dumb to try to make the Dark Lord angry. Going to a muggle neighborhood and kill some of them? Of course it was fine for her. But with Peter Pettigrew? The newbie death eater, ex-gryffindor, who couldn't even stay loyal to his friends? The guy who couldn't even see a Slytherin in his Hogwarts days that he started trembling? It was too much. She didn't remember being recruited as a babysitter.
They entered one of the first houses. Alecto was leading (of course) and they entered using the back door. As soon as they stepped inside, she realized something was off. "Wait." She said to the pathetic boy, who almost stumbled in his own shoes.
"W-What is wrong?" He asked.
All the lights in the house were up, but there wasn't any noise... The house looked empty. Alecto made her way to the next room, seeing how everything was messed up, as if someone left in a rush.
"Bloody hell!" She cursed. "The Order must have been there first and managed to get the dirty muggles away."
"W-What?! B-But I'm pretty sure they didn't know anything... Or at least they didn't say anything in the last meeting..." Peter murmured but Alecto just ignored him, checking the area to see if there wasn't any clue to where the muggles went.
Suddenly they both were startled by a sound, coming from a box in one of the corners of the room. They both jumped, letting some surprised exclamations slip their mouth.
"W-What is this?!" Peter looked terrified to the strange talking box, which was showing some kind of scene of men in cowboy's hats shooting guns to eachother.
"I-I don't know..." Even Alecto had to admit she was perplexed by the strange object. Was it an Order's trick? She pointed her wand to it, trying to cancel the spell, to no avail.
Peter seemed to have a completely different idea of how to handle the situation and approached the thing.
"Stop, you don't know---" But it was to late, he pressed one of the buttons and the sound was amplified, making they both cover their ears.
"SEE? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TOUCH IT?" She had to scream, or else she wouldn't be heard.
"I-I'M REALLY SORRY, I-I THOUGHT I WAS HELPING..."
"THOUGHT WRONG! NOW, MAKE IT STOP!"
He tried to press another button but instead of turning it off, they now got a bunch of static, which was even worse to hear. They retreated, staying as far from it as they could.
Alecto pointed her wand to the box, making it explode and be reduced to ashes. Peter sighed in relief and she turned her back, leaving the house.
"I hate so much those muggles..." She muttered. When Peter was by her side, she glared at him. "Not even a word of what happened here, understood?"
When the Order was back later, they inspected the area to see if the Death Eaters were really there. Nothing seemed out of place... Besides the ashes of what was once a television.
The youngest Auror lifted an eyebrow wondering what exactly the poor TV made to anger a Death eater. The other just shook his head, putting a hand in his shoulder. "Purebloods."
