Brave people get onstage to read hilarious and humiliating tales of gawky teenage love, family dysfunction and other stories from their younger years.

I am in love with this show.

When I read my scribbles back, I cringe and immediately begin berating myself: why the hell did I think any of my mundane experiences were worth documenting? What a waste of paper! 

This show provides a wonderful insight into the diaries, journals and even one man’s own attempt at writing a musical of everyday people. 

Hilarious, humbling, hugely embarrassing at times, The Mortified Guide is well worth a watch and it has prompted me to look at my own musings in a more positive way.

These poems.. which I truly thought would be hidden in embarrassment forever, like an albatross reminder of what an absolute weirdo I was and am.. Imagine ter seus diários de adolescente lidos na frente de dezenas de pessoas? Dá vergonha, né? Medo? Pois é isso que acontece nessa série disponível na Netflix. Com um detalhe: os diários são lidos pelas próprias pessoas que os escreveu! É hilário e tem me divertido intensamente essa semana. Cada episódio tem um tema que vai da descoberta sexual a cultura pop. Acredito q deve-se entender um pouco de cultura americana para entender todas as piadas.
