Hi. So recently my youngest brother was diagnosed autistic. And I don't know where to look for good resources to help my whole family adjust so he'll have the type of environment he needs. Honestly I feel lost. He's 7 and I'm 27 and I want to educate myself so as he grows I can help. I don't want to ever be ableist with him and this is very new territory for me. Would you mind pointing me in the proper direction?

Well send my congrats along for the diagnosis :D having a diagnosis can really help making some things easier, like accessing services or accommodations at school and stuff.

Secondly, ASAN is a great place to start looking for resources. That organization is by autistics, for autistics and they’re good people. They have groups in most states, so you can meet up with people and talk and all that. They also have a page on their site for other resources too.

And of course you can always find other autistic people to ask! There’s an autism sub on Reddit which is pretty decent most of the time (there’s unfortunately more than a few people on there that seem to think ABA is perfectly fine even though it’s basically abuse, tho, so be careful). Lots of subscribers, people on the spectrum and relatives of autistics.

And there’s a ton of us here on tumblr :D so you can always lurk around the tags for stuff. I would suggest looking through “actually autistic” since that’s more likely to lead you to, well, actual autistics XD

Seebs is pretty cool and knowledgeable. Luka’s also cool (but he’s really blunt and take-no-shit, so y’know be prepared for some attitude). Roach also knows things :D

You're inspiring me to get into bullet journaling and that level ten life thing. How does your level ten differ from the average of I may ask?

I believe the creator of it put friends & family in one category, which seemed weird to me. They also had spirituality as one, which I didn’t want. And a lot of people use the “health” one for more things but I’m obv not into exercising and eating like a rabbit so I use it more for “go to doctor’s appointments,” “take your meds,” and “stay hydrated”.

Because of where I live I haven't had the opportunity to meet other subs irl. This is starting to grate on me because I want to share about fun things Master and I do (like our recent filming of a gangbang). I'm not sure why I'm writing you. I guess I just felt I needed to tell someone who understands. It can get lonely being a sub without sub friends.

I mean, Tumblr is a great outlet if you don’t have kinky friend IRL. Blog about your experiences and make friends online to discuss this type of thing with!

Legolas: What has been your most unlikely friendship, and did it last?

My most unlikely friendship is almost certainly my friendship with Nic. She’s loud, excessively athletic, gives exactly zero fucks, is very fond of off-color jokes and swears a whole heck ton. Also, she thought I was hopeless and pathetic when we first met, and I was terrified of her.

Fortunately, she is also openminded, and nothing if not driven to drive others to success. Thanks to her I became a more confident woman, a better philosopher, and an infinitely more skilled soccer player. And yes, the friendship has lasted. I was just texting her yesterday about Seph and my plans for the future :) I truly don’t know where I would be without her <3
