Becky: ran into her apartment, slamming the door behind her and dropping her keys on the floor. A moment after and she was falling onto the couch, a look of utter defeat etched on her features. She had escaped as fast as she could, only to find herself becoming even more upset on her route back home. It just wasn’t /fair/. Imogen was allowed to be happy with someone and live however she wanted to while Becky was stuck listening to her brother and parents whine about everything. She had been trying to pick up not only their pieces, but her own as well since Imogen left, but everything was coming down like a tonne of bricks that had fallen in slow motion. She had been fine, she really had. When Imogen first left she was upset, but she was able to go day by day and keep things together for the most part. She had to be the strong one for Luke, after all. But this time, it was different. Now Imogen was back and somehow, Becky kept seeing her in places that she certainly didn’t want to see her. Just the thought of continuously laying eyes on the girl she once had as her best friend haunted Becky, because every time she saw her, everything that had happened came flooding back once again. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to Imogen to be happy. In fact, that was probably the thing that Becky wanted most in the world. It was just that Imogen was happy without /her/. Becky missed having her best friend and probably more than that, though she wasn’t about to admit it to anyone but herself anytime soon. She was between crossroads. On one hand she had been both furious and heartbroken when Imogen had left and only wanted to see her again, but on the other hand she was also furious and heartbroken that she had come back. For a while, Becky even thought that she’d never seen Imogen again, and that was a reality that she didn’t want to be in. They had known each other for so long that they knew each other in and out, or at least they used to. She no longer felt as though they were always in sync, but that was mostly because Imogen refused to be her friend anymore. She knew she wanted more, but she couldn’t bring herself to betray her brother like that. What really got her and the reason that she ran home in a hurry was that she had seen Imogen and her new friend at their coffee shop not once, but a second time, and after she had already gotten upset to it. Clearly Becky was no longer a person of interest in the grand old life of Imogen Moreno, considering she couldn’t even keep her affairs in check. It sounded silly, but it was about something much more than a little coffee shop encounter to Becky. She felt replaced, like all of those years and meant nothing and she no longer had a best friend. She had already lost her once, but it hurt even more that she was back and she didn’t even have the decency to stay away from their favourite place. A mix of frustration and overwhelming sadness filled the air as the woman realized just how much everything had changed since the one night where they had gone too far. To put it simply, the blonde was a mess. She was a web of emotions and she couldn’t figure out which ones to follow. She thought about lying down on the couch and forgetting about everything by enveloping herself into whatever sitcom was currently on TV. Those were her first thoughts; work, call Luke, go out somewhere she’d never go. Her first instinct was to just forget, but she knew she had to stop doing that. Imogen needed to know how she felt, and she was going to make her listen. The sadness was masked with anger and frustration as Becky took a few moments before getting up, bending down and grabbing her keys from the floor and walking out of her door. She knew she wasn’t ready or prepared for this, but she had to show that she was still here, still a person; still her best friend. After an anxious ten minute drive, Becky got out and thought about turning around, but quickly held her composition and went up to Imogen’s floor. Knocking, she breathed heavily, waiting for an answer. As soon as the door opened, all bets were off. “What, are you just going to pretend I don’t exist now?”
I would say it was nice seeing you today, but you know I try to stray from lying. I didn't know if you were actually telling the truth or not about... that.

Becky: Hi!
Becky: I apologize that it took a while to get back to you. I was super busy with callbacks! I'm sure you know how that is.
Becky: Anyway, uh... thanks for giving me the grand tour!
mosaicmoreno said: No, I’m your… friend. And I want you to eat, but I won’t pressure you too much. I’m just worried about you. If it’s not so ideal, we can watch a movie or do anything you want. You know whatever makes your heart content.
My eating habits are perfectly fine, Imogen. Stop trying to be my supervisor. I need my girlfriend, not a babysitter. There's no reason for you to be concerned. What would really make my heart content is obviously too far fetched. But, dinner and a movie will definitely suffice. Do I get first pick?
mosaicmoreno replied to your post:I kept trying to decide what to say here, but um... nothing sounds right. So... hi.
I guess that means you’re not happy to see me? Of course, you’re not. That’s silly of me…
Why in the world would I be happy to see you?
Um, I don't want to seem pushy or anything, but would you maybe want to get a bite to eat sometime soon? You have to eat. I'm a terrible cook, but Natalie isn't half bad...
What? Are you my nutritionist now? That wasn’t my ideal date but I suppose I can get out of the house for a bit to see you both. Just… don’t hound me about how much I eat, okay?
