Her home is beneath the algae-filled waters of a swamp where she brews something in a big pot - no one knows exactly what she brews, but she likes to enchant people with her beautiful song in order to make them come to her. Sometimes she even gets help from the elven girls who lures men to her swamp and to their death. Only when you reach her will you be able to break free from her enchantment, since she will hide underneath the water to conceal her hideousness.

About a year ago I started working on a children's book project called Ellebæt: Jagten på feernes skat The book is written by author Kat Lassen and published by Calibat. Now, book publishing is a slow process, so everything takes a while. But, it's finally getting close to the book being printed, so I figured I'd slowly post a few of the nicer illustrations I've made. On this picture we got two of the main characters, the little girl Ellebæt and her fairy friend Tit, getting help from the Bog Lady.

Lately, most my illustration time has been dedicated to a children's book project in collaboration with author Kat Lassen. But I figured I could show this off. Mosekonen is a Danish folklore creature who's responsible for heavy mist in the bogs (directly translated to "the bog lady", but I'm not sure if there's a proper English word for her). In the book she's a kind old lady that helps the protagonists.
