First of all, there are no "factions" in Israeli parties. This isn't the Republican/Democrat system....You can have different ideological currents or groups within a party but calling them "factions" like they're some kind of formal, political group is pure nonsense. If that wasn't bad enough, Feiglin wasn't the "leader" of any such ideological current, there were (and are) far more influential people in the Likkud, like Miri Regev and Yariv Levin, to name a few.
Thirdly, "he got his ass handed to him in the elections and started his own party" - what elections? He didn't get anything handed to him since he ran as part of the Likkud....."He ran against Netanyahu for the position of leader of the Likkud party" is misleading and dishonest - everyone runs for the position of leader of any party during the primaries, that's kind of the point of even having primaries....He wasn't the sole person "running against Netanyahu", like, that's such a stupid thing to say if you know anything about how the political structure in Israel works. The general public only started to know who Feiglin was when he hopped on the weed legalization wave in 2019, and even then and with his super popular promises towards legalization, his party couldn't get enough votes to pass the voting threshold...Like, the man has 20+ years worth of a political career, out of which only during 2 years the average Israeli wouldnt reply "who?" when asked about him.
I don't know who approved that persons thesis but this lack of knowledge for someone who supposedly "researched" and "talked to experts" is utterly shameful. It feels like he just read the Wikipedia page for him and went off of that.
everything you said is correct, and I will never bother going this in depth with these arguments (I applaud and compliment u for this wall of text btw) because I dont engage with retards. there is no point in being serious with unserious ppl, as they cant even speak the language in which all the primary sources r written so theres literally nothing u can show them to support ur facts jkwsdfbjkhwedb and u know that this idiot will read all of these words and go "ummm ackshually" followed by more wikipedia generated nonsense that they cant even begin to parse for truth and lies because theyre unfamiliar with literally everything required to do so (societal, political and cultural aspects of Israel)
