I'm lacking any motivation today, any tips? Love your blog!
aww thank you! been there, done that, so here’s how i usually deal with it:
stop whatever you are doing for a moment, get up if you aren’t already standing, close your eyes, breathe deeply and stretch
sit back down and write a to do list for today! don’t overwhelm yourself but be as specific as you can (i.e. instead of “study this subject” write down “do worksheet #3”). crossing things off is so rewarding!
clear out your space. a quick 2-minute tidying session will put you in the right mindset!
to avoid distractions later get everything you need now too. books, water, etc.
leave your phone on silent and physically as far from you as possible. if you’re anything like me, all the way across the room is ideal
remind yourself whatever it is you need to do doesn’t need to be perfect, you just have to work on it even for 5 minutes (and then if you’re already on a roll, which is likely to happen, you can keep going!)
promise yourself a reward after your work session is done. it can be some relaxing reading time or a tasty treat or an episode (moderation is key here ahah) of a show you love!
use the pomodoro method to avoid overwhelming yourself
visualize yourself achieving your goal. feel it. you know it’ll be great when you’re all done and you know what you need to do to get there, so, without further ado, let’s get to work!
What makes you happy?
any instance where i get to talk to people (whether they be someone i knew before or someone i’ve never met) and try something new, and go on an adventure (whether small or big), and feel the wind in my face as i ride a car or walk home makes me Beyond happy
How do you cope with sadness?
writing, usually. tho sometimes i randomly plop my chin on my friend’s shoulder while they lean their cheek on my head and ruffle my hair or silently walk weakly in front of my sister and extended my arms while she hugs me without a word or i’d go to our balcony and look at the sky for a while or lie down on the floor next to my sleeping dog while he nuzzles his nose on my arm, and my mood immediately lifts way up tbh
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where'd you be?
IN NEW YOOOOOOOOORK
I got all this ringing in my ears and none on my fingers :)
