My city has a broken heart. The sorrow we are feeling is beyond belief. It must be unbearable for the Muslim community. I want to fix it but I can't do anything besides cry and light candles.
Hearing the Muslims who lost loved ones speak at the vigil today was beyond words. Their faith, love and strength is insurmountable. One said that "This attack has created so much love. It's amazing to see how God works. He takes something away and gives you so much more back." His faith made my jaw drop. He's not bitter or angry. He's focused on peace and love. May Allah bless him endlessly.
