toriel could sense something was up--or at least, there was something on kris's mind. that mother's intuition never goes away.

toriel reaches for them, one large monster paw reaching for their hand. it was small, compared to hers, but warm all the same. the caretaker gave it a gentle squeeze. it was nice, to have this comforting moment with them. she hopes they were comforted by it as well.

"kris, dear, would you like any tea? i can make some for us."

It happens quickly. A drive-by maneuver as Kris is picking something from a vending machine. There's magic at play as a shadowy hand slithers out of the coin slot and returns their change, making their choice effectively free. Or, they could double up and get another. Dealer's choice.

Tasia's an old hand at this, dispelling the portal channeled in their hoodie pockets and the hand with it. They don't even announce their deed or make themselves known as they keep walking.

Yep. Just a stranger who happened to walk by while Kris was there.

That seemed like a pretty funny idea. Even though personally, Frisk had their doubts about it actually doing anything.

However, after a moment, they suddenly realize something and then look at Kris as they sign.

✦ Can’t. ✦ Can’t say words. ✦ Signing work? 

They weren’t sure if just signing their names counted as summoning. If not, then they may need someone else’s help.
