Athelhampton, is one of my most favorite gardens that I have ever visited in England so far. Looking at this photo has me once again in awe of the great garden architecture of this gem of a garden, which is still in private hands. Here the tasteful mossed water fountain, the beautiful corona, the elegance and craftsmanship of the black wrought iron gate and the huge ancient yew pyramids in the background, which Athelhampton is famous for, are making for a perfect and grand garden scene! What do you think? Does this garden resonate with you as well? On a different note, I wonder if the reason why I can’t get enough of moss balls this autumn is (see them decorate my home in my previous posts), that they remind me of the deep green yews hedges and topiaries of England. The color and texture is certainly similar! Hmmm, maybe this is the explanation! #athelhampton #athelhamptonhouse #athelhamptonhouseandgardens #dorchester #england #privategarden #privategardens #organicgardendreams #yew #yewpyramids #wroughtirongate #wroughtirongates #fountain #mossyfountain #waterfountain #corona (at Athelhampton House) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpUXTJ4ln1j/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=8n2sukwu5jew
