And their s/o is like " *sips tea* This is the seventh time you ask me this today... But I'm good anyways"
and who in the other side will be like: "I'm sooo bored... What the point in being the -title- when you don't get AS MUCH food/money as this title's worth...??😩"

i’ve actually never done one of these before, but there’s a first time for everything lol so hopefully this works. there are so many characters in one piece, so i tried to just pick the characters i like the most <3 also thank you! i’m really glad you enjoy reading my stuff (i’ve never posted my writing like this before so it’s all a learning curve).

repeatedly ask you how you’re doing, multiple times a day, seven days a week—but not because they want to know how you’re actually doing health-wise. no, they want to ask because they like the idea of their ambition finally being achieved, recognized even. having you by their side is, quite literally, an extension of that achievement. more or less. you, don’t actually care about any of that, though. but, they think you do — or, that you should, rather — hence their incessant line of questions bombarding you throughout the day.
it strokes their ego, knowing that you’ve stuck by them through it all; and while you think it’s sort of sweet, enough is enough. when you grow agitated, weary, and your patience finally slips away, you remind them that you’re doing good, you’ve always been doing good, and always will be if you have any say in it. they stop, contemplate this briefly, seemingly stunned by your words and conviction, maybe even feel a tad apologetic…only to just pick back up and double-down harder the next day.

after achieving their ambition, life sort of comes to a standstill for them—an insurmountable plateau that they can’t conquer. it doesn’t happen right away, but it becomes noticeable once the days blend into weeks, the weeks into months, and so forth. it’s somewhat comical, you think, seeing them theatrically complain about how life barely holds any meaning for them. it’s the chase—that’s what they miss; but there’s not much you can do to help them with their boredom, not the way they’ll want you to, anyway. it doesn’t stop them from pestering you enough to help ease their worries. money, expensive alcohol, jewels, gold—food—all are things they hope to have twenty-four hour access to.
and when they finally realize that they’re not entitled to that level of luxury and splendor whenever they like, it pisses them off. not seriously, but enough that they become sullen and mope around like a spirit that refuses to pass on. and it’s only when you snap, tell them to get their shit together and work hard to keep the title they were so proud to receive, that they actually start to feel better about things. maybe they’ll take your advice, and maybe they won’t; all in all, they’re still content that you see their plight as something valid and not something to laugh at.
