Watched God Mode last night and jfc I had forgotten how truly devastated Root was when she realised the Machine had gone. In my memory she was angry, not like that. And I love that despite everything, despite her learning that Finch programmed the Machine to reset every night and lose her own memories, it's him she moves behind when whatsisface turns up (shout out to whoever pointed that out here the other day, I wouldn't have noticed), it's him who insists they take Root with them, he knows how devastated she is. Despite everything!!!! Despite the fact she kidnapped him, despite all the stuff he's seen her do, despite where this story is going to go in the short term.
