One of the things about the whole AI thing is how deceitful it feels to me, personally. Setting aside the huge ethical concerns of theft that occurs to train these models, art is an aspect of human connection and creation.

It's about the expression and inspiration of FEELINGS and, as it currently stands, artificial intelligence cannot create and experience emotions it can only copy them.

It's a mimic.

And as a consumer, I dislike the idea of feeling some element of shared humanity and connection with a creator, only to find that said creator is a computer program, not a person at all. It's just something that parrots things back.

I feel like I've been lied to, and worse, deception seems like a key selling point. "Look how real it seems! How human! Isn't it clever?"

No.

It's not about making people's lives easier. It never was.

I need to find a fic where the ending is the same except Dutch...stays. Maybe he shoots Micah then instead of waiting seven years, or maybe he just tells him to get lost, but either way he doesn’t leave Arthur’s side. He can’t save him, he can’t undo the damage he’s done, but for once he just acts as a proper fucking dad and kneels beside Arthur, maybe puts his jacket under his head, holds his hand. They probably don’t even say a word, he just stays there and listens to Arthur’s laboured, raspy breaths for a few minutes until the sun rises and everything is silent.

im reading through plots of old spn episodes and i really do love this show. the writers fucked a lot of shit up but there are some really good episodes. seriously like mystery spot, its a terrible life, changing channels, and ghostfacers all mean so much to me
