the worst part of making amends and trying to properly cut ties with the past is when you gotta actually hit up your old friends to do that and the way your heart pounds and you start shaking while typing that message or punching in their number because you don't wanna talk to them and they sure as FUCK don't wanna talk to you. i just want to heal and be able to move the fuck on with my life without me or anyone else ever having to acknowledge the past and how i behaved when i spiraled. is that too much to ask for?
