Even seen from above, with a transmitted flashlight, the glass frogs appear diaphanous and transparent. This beautiful Santa Cecilia Cochran frog (Teratohyla midas) from @losamigosbiologicalstation was one of my personal best findings during my stay at the station. It wasn’t even raining since a lot, so I felt really lucky to find one on a leaf at night close to the station! In the forest of Ranomafana National Park you can find dragons. They’re just tiny and delicate, easily damaged by land destruction and pollution. A magnificent ladybug spider (Eresus sp. cf. kollari) male showing to me its warning colors. It amaze me how it vibrates reminding a velvet ant (Mutillidae). This species is surely among the most stunning spiders we can see in Europe. This is the astonishing fringed head of a mossy leaf-tailed gecko (Uroplatus sikorae), blending on the background of a trunk full of lichens. This species only lives into the rainforests of Madagascar and its habitat is heavily hit by deforestation. The sand walker Adult female Namaqua chameleon waking on a dune in the morning. This is a harsh environment to live for a chameleon but this species is well adapted for it. Its only problems come from human origins and some of them are really odd. A desert specialist, the Namaqua chameleon (Chamaeleo namaquensis) walking on the sand thanks to its fingers kept flat like snow shoes.
