"...so you're limited in contact with the fairies of other seasons?" Azul's brows draw together and he tries to recall the mental map of Never Island he'd built during their trip. Pixie Hollow had been utterly charming and in its own way beautiful, but they'd not been able to go well beyond its borders.
As someone who had been born in icy waters, the cold didn't bother him terribly much. But for Naira and her family among the Tree, he could understand how it would be a problem. Particularly with their wings being so delicate.
"How are letters delivered then?" He asks, thoughtful and curious, peeling open an acorn's shell and offering it to her as the sun crept across the sky. "Are there mail-carrying talents or do you ask local animals to take them?"

"Jus' winter. Spring, summer, an' autumn can all visi' each otha freely." Naira remembers his curiosity about the winter woods.
The offer for him to go alone had been given, that a winter fairy would help him if he truly wanted to explore. However, Naira hadn't made any preparations to make the trek on her own. The thermal coat she would have needed to craft or beg a sewing talent to help her make would have taken too long.
He wanted to stay near her, which was fine on it's own too! A comfort to be near the only person he actually knew in a crowded colony.
There was a gentle 'thank you' and a smile as she took the acorn shell from him. A common crafting material back home. The fairy finds herself stocking up on them frequently. Carts and every number of things needed repairs, and as someone large, she can make a handful of them faster than she could in her normal size. It wasn't something she mentioned, but the fact Azul had took notice was sweet of him.
After storing it in her toolbag, there's a slight pause as she tries to think about it. "Well. . .we can go ta tha border an' jus' hand stuff over directly. I assume the mail fairies have times an' systems in place. If there's an emergency, tha animal talents can ask fer help. Bu' tha Warden of tha Winter Woods has his own owl an' a wolf I do believe. So while not outta tha realm of possibilities, i's a case o' findin' animals tha' can survive in both climates ta make tha journey. Unless someone is willin' ta take tha risk an' make i' themselves, dependen' on tha emergency."
Naira pauses again, then looks at Azul with a raised eyebrow. "--Did ya wanna visit tha woods nex' time ya come? I can make arrangements so I can accompany ya."
She'd be walking the whole time, of course. But worth it so Azul can enjoy the time, the fairy thinks.
