JASON VOORHEES AESTHETIC. / requested by @motherdevoted.
How does Freddy feel about having a draw with Jason after their previous fight?
//There is no draw in Freddy’s mind; as long as Jason’s mind and dreams are active, Freddy will continue to invade them and give Jason horrific nightmares ( in attempt to kill him, for good ). Jason has slighted Freddy, has taken his children victims ( yes, Freddy takes ownership of them in that sense; he is the only one he will allow to kill them ) from Freddy, and he feels Jason must pay for that in return ( Freddy HATES Jason for it ). Besides, Jason was never really worth making a draw with in the first place. Freddy has always thought of Jason as a big, lugging idiot, easily tricked and manipulated. I don’t feel like there is anything that Jason could offer that would benefit Freddy from a draw ( other than to show respect for the ‘hockey puck’ that Freddy does not have ), and thus nothing to stop him from hunting Jason. If Jason himself were to offer something, it would have to be very good in order to get Freddy to even consider it, but even this would only stop Freddy’s wrath for a little while. Freddy would play along until he got what he wanted, and then once he got it, he would continue the hunt for Jason again ( he would lie ).
Freddy is extremely territorial over his victims; he wants to toy with and kill them as he pleases, without restriction or hindrance. By killing his victims, Jason has not only overstepped the boundaries allotted to him by Freddy ( a slight in and of itself ), he has also tried to claim them for his own; this simultaneously expanded Jason’s hold on Freddy’s victim pool and diminished Freddy’s claim on them. Freddy hates this, and will most definitely let Jason know about it via trying to kill him.
Note that Jason is not Freddy’s main victim; that honor lies with anyone within Springwood Freddy deems worthy to hunt and potentially kill for a night. No, Jason is more like a side project to Freddy ( an irritating, ‘idiotic’ side project, but a side project nonetheless ). Freddy’s main goal will always be to kill more teen victims and children, and while killing Jason ( or at the very least slighting him in return ) is high on the list of things Freddy wants to do, it will always be trumped by the former.
But Freddy still will not let Jason rest, especially not while Jason is in a coma-like state. Freddy might not be able to kill Jason like he wants, but he can still try, and will torture him mentally and physically in the meantime. Jason is a victim that will not die, but one who Freddy can still control and bully viciously when he dreams; Freddy will not let up on him. He would use the opportunity to attempt to fully reclaim exactly that which Freddy considers rightfully his ( Springwood’s potential victim pool ), and make sure Jason knows exactly who owns it. Freddy will hunt Jason until he succeeds in killing him, and even when he fails will still garner amusement and petty vindictiveness at the pain Jason shows in his dreams. That pain is enough to give Freddy some entertainment and joy amidst the irritation that would come with not being able to kill Jason. That joy, combined with the hatred he feels, would keep Freddy coming back to hurt Jason, time and time again. They both have forever for Freddy to find a way to kill him, anyway.
It’s just a matter of time, and Freddy has a lot of that.
