1. OTP(s) for your muse?

Shang X Mulan is my always OTP and endgame. It has been since I first watched the movie. 

Best Brotps:  Mulan, Chen-po, Yao, and Ling- and - Mulan & Mushu

NoTP: Mulan X Shan Yu (why is this even a thing?)

I could probably be swayed to write: Mulan X Prince Jeeki (even if the ship annoys the heck outta Mulan)

3. Which canon muse(s) do you currently ship with?

Honestly, I don’t think I have canon Mulan muses to ship with. But I’d be interested in shipping her with some of the Disney males if the chemistry is right. (and if there’d be a good excuse- or a bad one-  I could be tempted to ship her with army buddies) 

I do have a kinda ship that is half canonish with two different fandoms- and that is Mulan X Connor (Connor being from another fandom) @aintinsaint

Platonic Broships-  I’m really liking the friendship between Mulan and Cass @alwaysinwaiting Mulan & Ella @moretreasurewithin Mulan and her sister Xiu & brother Ping  @familyxdutyxhonor  (and I’m working on more)

Out of all the surprises Leopold had expected, this wasn’t one of them. “You’re pregnant?” he questioned, trying to only feel joy, even if his nerves were starting to get the best of him too. What if something went wrong with this pregnancy? No, he couldn’t let anything bad happen this time.

“We’ll make sure you can rest until the baby is here. Anything you need, we’ll get. Don’t push yourself! You and the baby will be safe.” He was a bit to jittery for a loving surprise, and he knew that, so he tried to calm himself down.

“I am happy dear. I’m just nervous too ... but we’ll make sure everything works out alright.”

Fa Li & Mulan: A Family’s Worries

Sleep seems to be an ever fleeting haven. One which Mulan found herself denied access to. It simply refused to embrace her. Or perhaps it was the opposite. She refused it.

The sound of Baba’s ragged cough petrifies her far more than any sight in battle ever could. Mulan had hoped that by taking his place, she could somehow prolong his precious life. What she hadn’t counted upon was an illness that had come to plague his already frail constitution.

Quietly, Mulan joins her mother at the table. Her knees hit the floor with a barely audible thump. Amber hues observe the cup which, lacks the proper steam, resting between her mother’s tension-riddled hands. “Mama? Let me get you a fresh cup of tea...” She offers, her tone softened by the considerable weight that it carries. Internally, she prays she does not make a mockery of pouring the cup as she had done in front of the Matchmaker.

Time had not seemed to fare well for her parents. She supposes her little misadventure, even as profitable as it was, must have been even more terrible for her parents than it had been for her. Mulan extends her small, calloused hand and presses it gingerly over her mother’s. “I shall ride into town and fetch the doctor come the first light of morning. I will not stop until I find the finest in all of China.”  She vows. “Tonight, will you let me sit up with you?” Her doleful hues implore her mother’s eternal forgiveness although her lips can not quite beg for it.
