-Masqué
- A secret society that was established after World war 2. Where the remnants of Zodiac influenced a bunch of Elites to help finance them in exchange for perks and powers. Including influence in the world. Basically think (court of owls meets Illuminati)
-Only the rich/ Elites are recruited to be higher up members, and they are exclusive. Mentioning of the club to non-potential members will be punished
-The inner circle that we know of it includes Andre and Audrey Bourgeois, Tomoe Tsurugi. Colt Fathom (formerly, died from ‘Mysterious circumstances’ before season 1) Masquerade (the mysterious leader aka Fa Li), Gabriel Agreste (forced to join), and Maya Charisma (second in command and one of the identities of Miss Hiss).
-There are members from all over the world and were based in New York. But after the reveal of the ladybug and cat miraculous. The group decided to move their HQ to Paris.
-Masqué’s logo is a small opera mask. And you will usually see the logo on a member’s person. But never blatant.
-Masqué funds a lot of projects that seem to help the world, but really it is mainly to serve their end goal. Free the leader of the zodiac and establish a new order for the world.
-It’s thanks to Masqué’s influence that André was Mayor of Paris, and starts running for President in season 3.
-Felix with the help of Alya, discovers that his father Colt, was part of Masqué. But that he was planning to reveal his findings to the world. Masqué managed to make his end look like an out of no where tragedy.
-Kagami is the original enforcer of Masqué (being the Talon to their court of owls). But after Kagami’s betrayal. Queen bee becomes the new Enforcer.
-Masqué has trained ‘Mask’ agents that are basically like Foot ninja. They are basically hypnotized minions.
-Agent Volpina is more affiliated with Zodiac, and does not work for Masqué, how ever her mentor is secretly on the board under the alias as an Italian Billionaire.
-Masqué has been around long enough to have members join for generations
-If Colt didn’t plan on spilling the beans about the corruption, Felix would have been added as a member of the group.
-The goals of Masqué were as follows:
1. Get the ladybug and Cat miraculous
2. locate and capture Fu
3. Restore Feast
4. Bring back Grand Master Zhi Chao
5. Restore Zodiac and have it become the new Order of Miracles.
-Ladybug and team realize what they are up against and end up fighting Feast along with Masqué in the finale of season 3
Fun facts
-Despite being disbanded at the end of season 3, they did technically achieve most of their goals
-Fa Li using the Peacock miraculous was known as Shadow Empress
-Fa Li is the only Living member of Zodiac that was still alive when the order was founded. Until Zhi Chao was restored.
-Fa Li had lost both miraculous she was guardian of.
-Fa Li had found the dragon Miraculous after escaping.
-Masqué’s total net worth with all its members would make it them on par with BlackRock
-Masqué is implied to have been involved with a lot of shady dealings all over the world. Including financing wars, stock market manipulation, and so much more.
-Masqué has enough influence that Fa Li claimed it could conquer France in a month.
-Masqué was still adjusting to suddenly moving to Paris and were not fully set up, so they were unable to properly investigate the heroes.
