âYour Highness.â Auguste said bowing low to the princess, who reminded him of a young Ella.
It wasnât often that Adora got to go into town. Her lessons aside, there was quite a bit of planning that needed be done on the grown upsâ part each time she did. She did still have her lessons, and the additional ones took in the Moors. But today, today sheâd been given permission to wander around the square, so long as Percival came with her of course.
âHello,â Adora smiled, gazing curiously up at the merchant. âHave you travelled very far Sir?â She asked with a tilt of her head.Â
âYes, very far.â Auguste smiled, he had silk to trade today from his home country, and after he had sold it all he intended to get something for Ella, just as he always did when he went away.
âI come from a small kingdom far away from here, would you like to look at what I brought with me?â

All quotes taken from a version of Hans Christian Andersenâs âThe Snow Queenâ that I own.
âWhat are you crying for?â
âYou look ugly when you cry.â
âAre you still cold?â
âI will not give you anymore kisses now, else I should kiss you to death.â
âHe is dead and gone.â
âPoor little thing!â
âCome and tell me who you are, and where you come from.â
âYou make me feel quite sad.â
âAutumn has come already.â
âBut it is so difficult for me to speak your language.â
âThat must have been dreadful.â
âWait for me by those railings.â
âThey are only dreams.â
âYou ugly brat!â
âThey shall not kill you as long as I am not vexed with you.â
âAll these belong to me.â
âAre you going to keep the knife with you while you sleep?â
âOne never knows what might happen.â
âThere is ice and snow, there it is glorious and fine.â
âI canât bear to see you make such grimaces.â
âWhere have you been all this time?â

@mothersofdisneymagic Sent (É ËâŁË)ËâŁË c) to give my muse a big hug!
âMy darling wife,â Auguste greeted before walking into Lucienneâs open arms. He hated being away from home for long periods of time, especially now that the couples darling daughter Ella had been born.
âHow have you been, my love, how is our Ella?â Â
âMy dear husband,â Lucienne greeted in return, happy to be in her belovedâs embrace once more.
âFar better now that youâre finally safely home,â she replied. âSheâs growing bigger by the day and has been missing her papa terribly.â
âWell, we will have to remedy that right away.â Auguste laughed, the gentle man adored his wife and daughter with all his heart, being away from them was like living without air to breathe.
âAnd what about you, my darling. Did you miss me terribly?â
Historical Romance Starters â€
âI will not be deterred.â
âBeing a widow would not be unwelcome.â
âIf we were wed, it could be beneficial for both of us.â
âYou are attempting to take advantage of me.â
âI lay my soul, bare to you.â
âYou have turned me toward virtue.â
âShall we wed?â
âSuch great news! How happy I am for you!â
âWe are not of the same class. We cannotâŠâ
âThe ability to have such sensibility makes one very good.â
âTruly you must be of the divine.â
âI do not lie with just anyone!â
âIâve cried pints of tears.â
âI give you my heart and soul.â
âI want to paint you.â
âWhen did romance become fashionable?â
âI wish the hours were days and the days years.â
âAnyone who might turn down your affection is no smarter than the heel of my shoe.â
âBeing unmarried doesnât seem so terrible a thing.â
âRomantic love is overrated.â
âMatters of the heart are most important.â
âI want to feel love. I want to be happy.â
âI seek romance AND stability.â
âI defy my parents! I love you!â
âIf you look up from your books, you might see something else you fancy.â
âI feel myself trapped behind the piano as everyone else dances.â
âYouâre a heartless cad!â
âMy best hope is that love shall come later.â
âItâs never too late for a second chance.â
âNothing compares to the misery of a world without love.â
If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.

âYouâve grown so tall, what happened to the little girl I left behind?â
Ella laughed brightly and hugged her father tight. âWell, Papa, you were gone for ever such a long time. And Flora says Iâm growing like a weed.â
Auguste laughed, Flora was indeed right, Ella shot up like a weed every time he went away, and how he hated to be away from he beloved daughter and wife.
âWell, I hope you havenât grown too big for the gift I brought you.â He teased, kissing Ellaâs cheek.

âMy darling,â Auguste greeted kissing his wife, heâd been on the road for several weeks, and after his long journey it was good to be home.
âI brought you something from Paris, I hope you like it.â
âWelcome home, my love,â Lucienne greeted in return.Â
She gratefully took the offered parcel from his hands and unwrapped it carefully. Inside was a poetry book, the cover embroidered with silver flowers.Â
âIts beautiful, Auguste, thank you,â she uttered as a sudden kick had her breath hitch a moment before her hand went to her growing abdomen. âSeems someone else is happy youâre home as well.â
âI saw it and thought of you, I thought you could read it to the baby when the baby arrives. Speaking of the baby, youâre well, you and the baby both?â Auguste asked wrapping his arms around his wifeâs waist.
He had hated to leave them but now that he was back, Auguste intended to spend as much time as possible with his wife and unborn child.

Anastasia felt her heart swell. Did this mean he loved her? Was this what a fatherâs love was like?
âCan I stay with you?â Anastasia asked hopefully.
âStay with me?â Auguste asked he had not expected such a request from his stepdaughter, he had figured that she would much rather explore the village with her mother and sister.
âIf you like, but I canât promise it will be much fun, Iâm going to visit the animals today. Maybe if weâre lucky weâll see a new lamb amongst the sheep.â
âWell Iâm sure whatever you do will be very interesting.â Anastasia said desperate for his attention.
âAs you wish, mademoiselle.â Auguste smiled his stepdaughter was proving to be more interesting than he had expected.
âWeâll head out after breakfast, how does that sound?â
