                    things between him and his mother had been much more distant than usual. he’d been about to head out of the office when she made her announcement. hand on the door, he paused to turn toward her. “where would you even go, mom?” no matter what, she had power over people in charming - especially with the club to back her up. if she left, she wouldn’t have any of that, so jax chalked it up to being a veiled threat to get him just to talk to her. it worked.

What I've done today: the Christmas tree is down, I'm trying to organize her toys in a cutesy way where the tree was in an "Activity Corner" type of way, and - when I finally remembered that I needed to eat - I had a nice filling brunch of eggs, red potatoes in chive & butter sauce, broccoli, and some rosemary crackers. I did all that, yet there's still so much left to do . . . A mother's work truly is never done. #brunch #motherswork #toys #somuchtodo
