Dear Alterhumans: please care about West Virginia
If I could take every mothman-kin (or even lover) to the mothman festival in Point Pleasant, I would. It's such a neat experience and filled with so many cool artists and musicians. Honestly I think everybody who likes that kind of thing should stop by West Virginia. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful state full of rich culture and yummy foraging plants, but it's so full of stories too. The mothman is the most well known, but the Snarly Yow is really cool too, and the vegetable man, the Wampus cat (which was real!), the Flatwoods Monster...
West Virginia is a really wonderful place and I wish more people would care about it and talk about it. Our tallest peak, Spruce Knob, was recently "re-named" Trump Mountain. Our mountains are being stripped bald and our towns are flooding. We have the ranking for fourth worst state in the nation for poverty. We are the lowest ranking state for education. Our opioid crisis never ended.
If you care anything about Mothman, about our culture, please care about our people too.
