     It was his flight overhead made visible by the car's headlights, the creature suspects, which then caused the vehicle to swerve off the road and roll downhill. This would not be the first time its presence has caused shock and misfortune as a result. The vehicle rolls right into the trunk of a large pine tree. It makes a loud crash that resounds through the woods and makes birds scatter. The creature fittingly dubbed Mothman watches from the bushes nearby, waiting for movement from inside the vehicle. It was his fault — as he has come to understand from these incidents — so he is curious about the fate of the driver.
