Autistic adulting is when you drop your favorite mug and break it, and at first you feel a rush of self-loathing because how could you be so clumsy again, and every voice of every person who’s ever screamed at you to “PAY MORE ATTENTION” and “BE MORE CAREFUL” echos through your mind
And then you remember that it’s not your fault. It’s not carelessness. The world around you is just too fragile for your autistic brilliance. And then you get excited about buying a NEW mug that is even BETTER!
