Bedroom 😉

King has a bedroom at the Fab Four’s motel beside the Diner. He’s had it since he was first introduced to the Zones and became one of their best allies, which soon grew into becoming one of their closest friends. 

His room at the Diner is surprisingly kept rather simplistic - aside from the spray-painted crowned skull that tags his door (thanks, Poison), the only other decorations he has in his room are a few posters he’d found in some vintage magazines - of his hero, Frank Sinatra. There’s a record player in the corner with a crate full of records he’d either scavenged or traded for, and a piano that Kobra and Ghoul had found and dragged home the whole way from Zone 5. King cried when they presented it to him.

His beloved black acoustic sits near his bed, and above the headboard is a little collage of Polaroids he’s collected over the years - photos of everyone he loves and has ever ran with - friends new and old, from Hurricane and her Badlands crew to the Youngbloods to him with the Fab Four. And in the centre of it all lies an older photograph taken long ago back in Batt City - the Sinners, gone but never forgotten.

Mike never really talked about his life before Deluxe fell; it was still something he was actively healing from. The first time the kids were ever exposed to anything Deluxe related was on a seemingly normal day at the park, when a man who still believed in the power of Kane's vision used his soapbox to try and get supporters. It wasn't uncommon for people to miss the way things were, but seeing it in person had Mike shaken. Picking up his daughter, their day out ended early as they made their way back home.

It couldn't leave his mind. It happened right in front of him. It was becoming more of an issue, and he knew that he and his family would be the first targets if Deluxe made a return.

"If something happens, you have to promise me you'll leave with the kids."

This is not the first time they have had this conversation, but this was the first it felt like an actual possibility. Tex may seem naive, or even dumb, but he would never let anything happen to his loved ones.

"NOTHING is going to happen, and I will not let you play savior this time. We're staying together."

Mike got no sleep that night.

OKAY finished coloring my older burner designs (once again including my oc Nancy)!!! As much as I love the hardcore post apocalyptic punk designs… what if they were just middle aged LMAO LIKE WHAT IF THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM WAS MISSING THEIR GLORY DAYS 😭😭😭

this is probably the quickest I’ve finished up a piece I posted a wip for and honestly. We deserve to celebrate.

I love how I gave jasper little siblings in that concept like oh wow why didn’t I think of this before! WELL I DID AND I FOUND OUT WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH AN OLDER SKETCH BOOK LMFAO 😭😭😭😭 I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THEM.
