The new @indianmotorcycle FTR 1200. IMO the most exciting American bike since the Harley XR1200. Supposedly 120 hp and ride control with three options plus liquid cooled........if I didn’t have an almost new bike I’d seriously look at this. Winter Riding Gear 2- Gerbing Hero Heated Gloves. / To ride at speed for time below 40-45 degrees requires either heated gloves or grips. I’m a heated glove guy because they do better for me since I’ve had frostbite before from climbing. I use no adjustment control….wide open as hot as possible when I use them. / I’ve taken these Hero gloves to 25 degrees for two hours at 70-80 mph with no issues while plugged in. They are also my go to glove from 45-55 degrees without being plugged in. / These ($150) and the Lee Parks Design gloves ($95) are the only two moto gloves I use/own and it’s all I need from 25-105 degrees. / Both available at my fav moto shop @uniongaragenyc

Tap pic of bike for more links. @atomictrent is my go to guy for knowledge and builds incredible FXRs and Dynas made to be abused as well as choppers. He recently built one for one of you (my students). I’ve really been into as stock as possible lately. @teamdyna123 does a great job with this on his FXRs and Dynas. Only mods are what’s needed. “Best handling one I’ve ever ridden “ says and 18 year HD service manager who knows his business. I honestly believe setting them up with all the suspension and handling components when new helps immensely to allow motor mounts, shocks and frame to settle in. Bike gear review 1 - This @biltwell Exfil-7 bag is the same as appeared with me on the cover of Ballistic Magazine recently. I added the two @cryeofficial 6x6 gp pouches to the side to hold gear I need often during jobs. Because the Exfil-7 has molle webbing this is easy. - By itself the Exfil-7 is an outstanding “windshield”, blocking that high MPH wind associated with 85-90 plus speeds providing me with a pocket of dead wind and getting it off my chest. By adding the Crye pouches I have no wind on my arms as well. - I highly recommend this product, especially if you have the metal eyebrow associated with FX’s or if like me you’ve tried windshields and they’re not for you. #defoorproformanceshooting #biltwell #weridetheharley #defoor #exfil7 #kd4 #motorcyclesmakeitbetter

I don't do much to my bikes but intake and exhaust are musts. Commonly referred to as a stage 1 upgrade, a good two into one pipe and higher flowing filter will gain most HD's 5-10 HP. I've been using a Thunderheader for well over 20 years on all my rides. Back in the day it was the only 2-1 around. Nowadays there are many that are solid choices. My favs besides the t-header; @sawickispeed @twobrothersracing @rinehartracing @vanceandhines and Rb racing.
