The band explains the meaning of the song: "It's about a solitary traveler, condemned to long suffering, depicting life as a journey suspended between a painful past and an uncertain future, where the Requiem is not just a funeral dirge for what has been lost, but the prelude to an inner victory and the entrance into a new world. In short, it is a hymn to the strength of the human spirit which, even while crossing the abyss of sadness and pain, continues to walk toward its redemption and eternal peace".

Three visions... one sound. Embrace the unknown! With these words, we introduced "In Sorrow's Requiem" the new work by Tuscan Doomsters MOTUS TENEBRAE. Luis McFadden tells us about the song: "The central theme that unifies these visions is the Existential Concrete Labyrinth: an eternal interior metropolis where the individual is crushed by monumental structures that reflect his own emptiness. In this narrative, the exterior and the interior merge... the endless buildings are simultaneously psychic prisons and monuments to alienation. There is no longer a distinction between the cold stone of the city and the silence of the soul. It is the portrait of a humanity that, in an attempt to build its own progress, has constructed a geometry of abandonment in which God is dead, nature is a faded memory, and the only thing that remains is the echo of one's own footsteps in corridors that lead nowhere".

"In Sorrow's Requiem", this is the title of the new album by Italian Gothic-Doomsters MOTUS TENEBRAE, due out on May 8th 2026 on My Kingdom Music which renewed them trust and loyalty.

It's been almost 10 years since their last album "Deathrising" and MOTUS TENEBRAE return to make their voice heard in the most powerful, dark and full of pathos way possible with a new album that treasures the legacy of that work, enriching it with new nuances and atmospheres, creating their most mature, most emotional and most decadent work in their 25 years of career.

Andrea, bassist and longtime founding member of the band, tells us: "It's been a really long time since our last release, and we're so happy that My Kingdom Music believed in us and gave us the chance to make a strong return to the world scene. "In Sorrow's Requiem" is for us a sad and melancholic chant woven from despair, longing, and the fading light of hope.
