“Shooting Stars” from Sometimes Songs has really brightened my mood. Not much was good about the pandemic, but maybe we can take solace in the fact that musical projects like this created such amazing music that might not have ever been made without a devastatingly long lockdown. This reminds me of a cross between Murray Lightburn, Pat Boone, Motown, and Mega Bog (new album coming out).
This is released by Wonderfulsound, a London, UK based label. They have a singles club, which this is part of. While you’re looking at the offerings of this label, be sure to check out Luca Nieri “Etrurian Shades” which reminds me of the early work of Maston.
