Even the Darkest Stars — Heather Fawcett (8/10) 🗻 “And as for my soul— I saw black fire sweeping the village, heard the anguished screams. What use would I have for a soul, if everyone I loved was dead?” 🗻 When I started this book, I was really unsure if it was going to be one I enjoyed, and then the next thing I knew I was over halfway through it and couldn’t put it down. Kamzin is a fantastic heroine, and River is the perfect mixture of shady and enticing. You just know you’re not supposed to like or trust him, but you do anyway. This is such wonderful story, and Fawcett tells it so well. Definitely going to immediately read the sequel.
