Episode 106: The Exclusive Photo Murder Case
A photographer sets fires to buildings and then takes pictures of them, and then says, “Oh, it was just a coincidence! God’s will!” or something like that. At a party in his honor, another photographer comes up to him, and blows white powder in his face. Apparently this is because he found out his secret of making quick-lime time bombs. The pyromaniac photographer decides to murder him, and take pictures of it. Thanks to Dr. Agasa’s ability to hyper clean up photographs on his computer, which has way too many Agasa icons by the way, Conan is able to find proof that he’s the murderer, because his watch is on the counter of the dead man’s apartment. Note that the kitchen sink is viewable in the photograph only through the reflection in a glass shard shooting out of the window, as the victim falls in a mass of fire. Also, Conan realizes this by looking at the picture in a magazine, through a magnifying glass. Then while doing a TV program with the photographer, Conan knocks Mouri out and stages a really well choreographed deduction show, including spotlights on Megure and Agasa, really showing off his mother’s influence I suppose.
