coworkers shocked i'm using snap traps for the mice infestation in my apartment, and not a catch-and-release.
i'm sorry, you want me to directly handle a live rodent, that's been crawling through the roach and mold infested walls of my crumbling building? you want me to walk it thru the elevator, next to people, and release it into the "wild" (which doesnt exist around me) only for it to go into someone else's house? you want me to do that for the thing that's own shit and piss can make me sick?
and then in the same breath they suggest getting a cat. you've gotta be kidding me. a snap trap is far more humane compared to what a cat would do.
i'd much rather do it humanely, where i can air out my place, get PPE, spray it down with disinfectant and carefully dispose of it. so i don't get sick.
every single time i walk out the door i have to battle against a deadly respiratory coronavirus. i can't exactly kill the ones who spread that one, can i? i refuse to spread death to them, no matter how much they don't mind giving an inhumane death to me.
i'm not allowed to respond to the violence i'm put under every day. i'm allowed peace in my own home. am i not allowed a bit of ruthlessness?
danger kitty out to get me, i mean, them
we've been very dilligently practicing Outside this week which culminated in an absolute triomph of 20 minutes of uninterupted outside time and even stepping onto the grass today!
suffering from success
finally on the highest thing in the room but too scared to do anything but beg for me to help her down
also, too cat to easily pick up when i can barely reach her belly using a stepstool, so needs to be dragged off which makes it even scarier
battle for the box
lots of visual interest and fun things for her to bat at
i got muis spayed last week and she's been so good at not licking the surgery site that i didnt get to put her in gay baby jail (cone of shame) to take a funny picture
instead have one of her doing her best supermodel pose with her exposed tummy
kitty in the tree!
