Lighting test!

The next scene in my film calls for some FIRE! I really wanted to have the illusion of flickering flames. So I did some tests. I basically played with the light settings; I turned the dial up and down on my lamp and included an orange filter over the bulb. The images are on 2s which look much better and smoother than having it on 1s. 

Does anyone want a marshmallow?

Mouth set!! Nearly completed!

Yes, this was made with cardboard, foam core, newspaper and painted with acrylics.

I'm thinking about adding a glaze to make it look wet....🤔😛

it's really big! The troll puppet is rather small next to it too. I really wanted this second set to feel like a big, strange environment.

doing some tests

In front of the camera, is a piece of plastic.

I'm going to try to put things in front of it to make the illusion of water.

This morning, I made the troll a little snorkel and mask!

Attempt #2

this time, I used plastic wrap and simply moved it around. On 1s it looked way too fast and disorientated. On 2s, a little better but not quite. On 3s, as we see here, is where i feel i am starting to like the way it looks.

I will keep the trolls movement on 1s (one image per movement) and the water will most likely be on 3s (a photo every 3 frames, and moving the plastic wrap once every three frames)
