Regional mobility has been on a steady decline for decades. There just aren’t any good reasons to move anymore.

I grew up in Marietta, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta. Reasonably, I thought that Atlanta constituted an East Coast city. As an economic powerhouse and a dynamic city, I considered Atlanta to be at least on par with Washington, Boston, and Philadelphia.
