Move to Heaven: Grief and Healing
With its first episode being released on May 14th 2021, the k-drama series Move to Heaven delicately navigates themes of grief and loss. The series centres around Geu-ru, (played by actor Tang Joon-Sang) a young man with Asperger’s syndrome, who works alongside his estranged uncle, Sang-gu, (played by Lee Jee-hoon) in a trauma cleaning business. Their job involves organising the possessions left behind by the deceased, but each episode unravels much more, as they uncover the
This series can be said to be set apart by the sensitive manner in which death and the impact it leaves on loved ones is portrayed, and has been praised for their effective usage of subtle storytelling and visually stunning cinematography to leave an emotional impact on the audience.
The show also does not shy away from dedicating time to unravelling the complexities of its main cast, with one primary example being the relationship between the main protagonist Geu-ru and his uncle Sang-gu, with the development of their relationship adding a layer of depth to the overall narrative, as they both navigate through their own grief and learn to find solace in each other, illustrating how healing does not have to be a path walked alone. While not “a light watch”, Move to Heaven is certainly a series worth watching with a cast of skillful performers that breathe depth and intricacy into their characters. The handling of delicate topics being built off of a foundation of respect and empathy truly enables the series to be able to resonate with its audience.

Kkkk I randomly watched K-drama #movetoheaven is really really good drama with #LeeJeHoon there kkkk, i want to read the boook yaaay!!! And finally i finished the Documentary Murder Case(UNSOLVED) and oh Lord about Sex harassment part is really unforgivable in opinion. #thekeeper is really good. And the last drama I watched still with Lee je Hoon, #taxidriver kkkkkk that's very very good drama ,no romance, mystery and action . Actually i felt so much frustrating but i can't tell. But i feel bad don't do anything lately. https://www.instagram.com/p/CPvTRn2JVJy/?utm_medium=tumblr
