One of the great comedies of the 80s... Tom Hank’s Bachelor Party is raunchy, funny, dirty, quotable, and just plane goofy... This IS Hanks’ funniest role. There are so many classic moments... my brothers and I would stop everything to watch if it was on HBO. It’s in my own personal movie hall of fame. Bachelor Party is written and directed by Neal Israel, the dude who gave us two other great 80’s comedies, Real Genius and Police Academy (all of them). I mean you know the movie is a classic when a donkey ODs on friggin’ quaaludes... am I right?!?And lets not forget that it also stars 80’s sex symbols Tawny Kitaen and Adrian Zmed. Bachelor Party has it’s dated moments and is a maybe a bit unPC at times, by today’s standards, but nothing so awful, it’s basically a bunch of harmless, hilarious guy fun. Beverly Hills Cop is what I consider to be Eddie Murphy at his finest. In the decade that defined cop action comedy, Beverly Hill Cop is close to the top of the list... maybe even the number 1, unless you count Lethal Weapon as part comedy, the it’s a firm 2. My brother and I still quote this movie, just about every time we see each other. The strip club scene is the defining Alex Foley moment. Let’s not forget Cop’s outstanding 80’s soundtrack (the first cassette tape I ever bought), the Pointer Sisters, Patti Labelle, Glenn Fry... and that international synth-pop smash Alex F. You’re humming right now, aren’t you. The Annual Listing of Movies Seen for 2013

So I am behind in my movie viewing so I plan to make a Top 10 or Top 15 of 2013, but as is always the case a couple films won't open here in Cleveland until after the new year (most notably HER, which looks phenomenal). 

But because it seems like every news paper and film websites I enjoy are posting their Top 10 lists, I have decided to start doing something I like to do every year and list the movies seen theatrically for the past year. NOTE: Older films that are shown for cult series has the year next to them.

That's just like my opinion, man.

If a lady lumberjack (lumberJill?) is cutting down a tree and no one is around, does it make sense for her to say "TIMBER" when the tree is falling? The lady lumberjack is me, I guess. The tree is a text post, the chopping is writing, and my question is, is anyone actually going to read this? Like my mother says, "Better safe than sorry". I'd yell "TIMBER" just to ease my anxiety. You know, just in case the tree hit someone trespassing on my land.

This is my first text post. My tumblr is new but mostly full of images or gifs. I used to read a lot of literature. Now I read some comics and a little literature (little-ature). Visuals seem more superior than the explanation of them. It could be that my attention span is getting shorter or that I want to decipher things for myself without someone shoving meaning in my face. Regardless, I'm learning to adapt. 

Between Boston and New York, I saw quite a few movies in the theater last year. Don't be jealous. I missed many films, some of which I got to see a second go 'round and others I missed completely. That blizzard really screwed things up. Excuses aside, I've tried to compile a list of movies I enjoyed this year in no particular order:
