A remake of She’s All That. REALLY HOLLYWOOD?! That movie was already a remake of Pygmalion/My Fair Lady! This is pathetic.

So now Spielberg wants to remake "West Side Story"
I understand why some people might be for a West Side Story because the original lacked an authetically Latino cast. And it would be cool if Naya Rivera was cast -- she deserves something better than Glee.
But I must stick to my cardinal rule of remakes: if the original was a good movie, DON'T FREAKING REMAKE IT
"It's A Wonderful Life" sequel is in the works
Dear God.
I thought making even more Star Wars movies (not to mention Disney taking over the franchise) was a sign of the moviepocalypse. But no, I was wrong. This is even worse.
I'll be the first to admit that I never even liked the original movie. Nothing personal, the plot has just been hackneyed so many times that I got sick of it. But even if I liked the original movie, I still woudn't want a sequel. Why WOULD they make a sequel anyway? The original cast is all gone, and no one in the right mind would be able to take their place. Is Hollywood on crack?! Are Christmas movies not even safe from being butchered?!
This is it, people. The moviepocalypse cometh. This is the end.
Ben Affleck is the new Batman
I never thought I'd write that sentence, but it's true. In the sequel to Man of Steel, Ben Affleck will play Batman.
Remember that part in Silver Linings Playbook when Bradley Cooper was so pissed off about the end to Farewell to Arms that he threw the book out the window? That's how I felt when my friend texted me the news. I haven't been this shocked and horrified since Disney announced their new Star Wars movies.
Yeah I know a bunch of people are saying wait until the actual movie comes out, that we should give him a chance. But let me remind you about a little movie called Daredevil. Ben Affleck couldn't play a superhero then, and just because he won an Best Picture Oscar for Argo doesn't mean he's entitled to play Batman.
Christian Bale, I understand that you don't want to play Batman anymore. I respect that. I also know that you have no input over who is replacing you. But to leave us with BEN AFFLECK?! That's low.
Out of all the actors to play Batman, they pick BEN AFFLECK?!
Well, this proves it. The moviepocalypse is upon us. I never thought it would happen this way, but it did.
"Pete's Dragon" remake in the works
And it won't even be a musical. Or part cartoon. I mean, that last one isn't unexpected -- the lack of technology back then is why the dragon in the original was a cartoon to begin with.
But a Pete's Dragon remake?! Damn you, Disney! Why couldn't you leave well enough alone?
Yet another sign of the moviepocalypse. Run for your lives!
