A church building built for the filming of HBO's #Westworld at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, #California, part of @santamonicamountainsnps. In 1927, Paramount Pictures purchased 2,700 acres of the old Rancho Las Virgenes for use as a "movie ranch." In 1953, a portion of the property was purchased by William Hertz who built Western Town using Paramount's old prop storage sheds. Television companies began producing westerns at the ranch such as "The Cisco Kid" and Dick Powell's "Zane Grey Theatre." In the 1990s, Western Town was used as the set for "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." Western Town and the surrounding landscape have been used for countless other #TV shows and movies.
