Big move before and after plant setup

The move was pretty stressful and the new place is kind of small in comparison so I ended up not being able to keep most of my plants and I'm really sad about it, but I'll build it back up eventually!

A couple of the plants are still back in Kansas with my parents so I'll get them later, like my giant spider plant. I still have two of the big pothos pots I had but they are going to get relocated to my office at school. Also my orchids made it and are in another room, I'll show y'all later.

When I moved this last year, I moved during winter and didn’t realize the heat of my vents as I went from north to south, was completely ruining my plants... killing them for 14 hours. My leaves on all plants but the succulents were soggy from the heated vents and cold shocked during the transition from apartment to car. I got to SC with soggy leaves that had large dark spots sprinkled everywhere. From my 5’ long pothos to this money tree my grandmoher gave me. A number of plants didn’t make the trip, including my MOM plant. My pothos is beginning to come back after cutting off its entire mane, my money tree, after months has finished its comback, and the succulents were never fazed.

The entire time, I thought my money tree was going to die. It just turned out it needed a lotta TLC and time to readjust.

I’ve been busy moving- some of the plants did not like the lack of care they got the past week :(

Nothing is in a permanent home right now but here’s the plants in the bedroom. I’m going from one huge south facing window to a few east and west windows so we’ll see!
