what are your headcanons regarding hordak's appearance? i feel like most people go with the dyed/makeup headcanon, but i like the following: that they're further genetic variations, occuring naturally, but when he is within the biosystem of the galactic horde, those kinds of "defects" are "flattened out" purposefully. i imagine they emerge after some time away from the hive and without the regular pod "maintenance" or whatever they use on the ships
(cont.) i like the makeup headcanons too tho, i feel like they both fit thematically in their own way. also something i notice every time is in that one pic of hordak on prime's screen in that one season finale tease, with dark hair. a planning error to be sure, but i wonder what sense we could make out of it, if any.
I subscribe to both the dyed/makeup headcanon and the natural genetic variations headcanon depending on my hood. Well. I suppose I always assume the eyeshadow is eyeshadow, but the hair could go either way for me.
It honestly depends on my mood, and I’ve seen it done well both ways in fanfiction. So either works for me!
