Mozilla WebMaker, la aplicación para construir webs sencillas y visuales desde el móvil
Let's collaborate and learn together!
Last week Mozilla Slovenia was partner of Startup Weekend at Gymnasium Novo mesto. We always support young people willing to learn new things and make awesome projects.
When Mozilla Space Novo mesto was opened in September we wanted to spur local environment to innovate and collaborate. Partnering with Startup Novo mesto was established to create new friendships, share experiences and create successful business ideas.
Some facts that might interest you about our space:
- Business incubator Podbreznik is located in Novo mesto, just off the Ljubljana - Zagreb highway.
- Located near the wood we offer calm and relaxed environment to work.
- Unlimited Internet, high speed, uncensored: Yes, this is important (It may sound trivial), no blocked ports, high speed wireless Internet.
- Lot of working space: Desks, chairs, whiteboards plus flexibility to adjust the working space for your needs.
- Relaxation area: Socialize, relax, read a book or watch movie on projector.
- Accessible to all: We are Mozilla, we are open.
- Working with Mozilla technologies - for example Firefox OS.
"Know more, do more and do better through the open web." This is our motto.
So let's organize a workshop to teach regular Internet users to know more, do more and do better through the Open Web. At Mozilla we have great teaching tools gathered in project called Mozilla Webmaker.
The most effective way to help users move from consumption of the Internet to creation is by providing tools.
To spur the local environment we are organizing Mozilla Webmaker workshop in Mozilla Space Novo mesto. Save the date: 30th of November at 10:00.
Because of great interest for event you need to register. So let's register our grandparents, kids, aunts... we can all learn and create something on the web!
It will be fun :)
Event is part of Europe Code Week. The aim is to organize coding related events from the 25th to 30th of November 2013 across Europe.
You can register here through this form:

I added a tile module to further abstract the previous grid app. All that is taking place is me holding up an orange then a green piece of paper.
What's probably the most fun is the live editing, seeing small changes affecting more complex patterns.
This is a crash course, tutorial/introduction video for using Meemoo to create GIFs for Tumblr or anywhere else for that matter. You can click on any of the GIFs below to open up the existing Meemoo web app that was used to create them. You can see the first two GIFs below being made in the tutorial video above.
You don't need to download or install anything for Meemoo and it is open source, bringing visual programming to your browser. You can use existing web apps, hack existing web apps, create your own and share the content/apps you make with anybody for free.

Just wanted to publicly highlight some amazing work by one of my mentees within Mozilla Reps. [Komal](https://reps.mozilla.org/u/Komal/) has taken what seems like a simple teaching aid/tool that has a lot of power under the hood... baked it together with some awesome imagination, and created quite an amazing webpage. Good job pushing the boundaries of what people see as possible :)
