If there was one thing that was quite dangerous, it was Valentina when she's bored. When she finds something to cure her boredom it very rarely doesn't include her dragging a friend of hers into some kind of a mess. Val is pretty chill but she thrives in chaos and can't live if she's not out having a good time. This is what leads her to text her sweetest dongsaeng Chani at 9 pm on a Wednesday. Convincing him to join her at Vision for some dancing, drinking, and just having a great time. She thought it would take more convincing but, to her surprise, it doesn't take much at all. Val happily bounded around her apartment, dressing to the nines in a sleek, form-fitting, royal blue body-con dress that complimented her tan skin and her dark hair.

She arrives in style at Chani's door, softly rapping on the door as she adjusted the chained crossbody bag that held her phone and cards. When her sweet boy opened the door Val was quick to lean in and wrap her arms around him in a hug, a quick kiss placed on his cheek in greeting. "Oh, you sweet boy. You ready to go? I need a drink, and I need my best dance partner to back me up on the dance floor."

It had been a long time since Diana and Chani had really talked or hung out, despite the fact that they worked together. They had both been really in their own heads lately, it seemed. She certainly had been withdrawn, she knew that, and it had taken her a while to notice with all the messiness of her own life, but it seemed like something was up with Chani, too. She felt bad that she had not become aware of it sooner, but maybe she could make it up to him. Hopefully it was a ‘better late than never’ situation.

They were just finishing up organizing the shop for the next day when she approached him, gently touching his arm to get his attention. “Chani,” her voice sounded small, and she cleared her throat to correct it. She should not have felt nervous about asking a friend to hang out, but she had been overthinking the whole thing all day and her stomach was in knots.

“Do you want to grab a bite to eat after we’re done here? My treat,” she continued in a slightly stronger voice, offering him a small smile. “I feel like we haven’t hung out outside of work in forever.”

It was pushing midnight and Val was 3 almost 4 hours into rehearsal for this new stage she put together for her first solo at Minx. She had the choreography done days ago, now she was just perfecting all the little details. Her phone was propped up against a chair in front of the mirror filming her practice. Valentina stepped away from her laptop after pushing play and the synth bass began to fill the space.

The beat flowed through her as she executed the steps, her heels unapologetically clicking along the dance room floor. Val was halfway through the dance when she misstepped and had to start over from the beginning. She was a perfectionist when it came to her dances. After restarting the music and video she went back into the dance, the incredibly sexy moves coming to her easily. Val was clad in a sports bra, loose, short crop top, athletic shorts, and her platform stilettos. 

As the piece came to an end she gave herself a celebratory ‘whoop’ before stopping the video and the song from repeating. Before she could start the video to see how she did Val noticed someone watching from the doorway. Valentina immediately stiffened, thinking she was alone in the 24-hour gym, most having left hours before.

“Hey, don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere,” Felix assured Chani, plopping down on the couch beside him and giving him a big hug. He had only popped into the break room for a moment to refill his water bottle, but he wasn’t about to leave his friend when he looked so down in the dumps. “Did class go badly this morning? Do you wanna talk about it?”

He gave Chani a squeeze and then hopped up, going to rummage in his bag and bringing back a bag of sweets that he offered to the other male. “I’ll stay as long as you’d like, okay?”

  “Don’t be nervous,” Dakota says as he pushes his fingers through Chani’s hair very carefully. It had fallen just a little out of place as the night rolled on and when the elder demigod had found him Chani seems just slightly pink with the worry of some unseen trouble stirring in his mind.    Ah, he had been there before mentally. “Whatever it is cannot be so scary that you can’t tackle it. Look at you- you’ve survived everything you thought was the hardest day of your life so far, si? No reason that whatever this is will make a dent in that progress.”   He gently bumps his shoulder to the other’s before turning to look at himself in the bathroom mirror. The soft waves of black hair that frame his face have gotten longer than he truly planned them to but he’ll take care of that with a spiffy new color and a trim after the gala. His eyes look at Chani’s reflection beside him in the mirror and he smiles at him.    “What’s your favorite part of the night so far?” It is a question meant to break the tension the other carries but also one Dakota is interested in knowing. For each person, the night is unfolding differently.

Valentina said it as a joke, she’d always teased Chani when they spent time together. Especially after that one night of dance practice where he laid one on her out of nowhere. She wasn’t complaining, she loved a good smooch here and there but, she could tell Chani was embarassed. So, she never really brought up that particular insance but, she did enjoy making the younger boy blush. It was hard for her to remember what part of their conversation had brought them to this point but, she was enjoying herself.

She was even happier after Chani actally pecked her on her cheek. Smiling playfully at him as she took in his flushed features. Sometimes he was too sweet and adorable for Val to handle. A red painted, fingernail booped him on the nose after he kissed her, pulling away right before he so cutely pouted about missing hanging out with her. Valentina smiled kindly at him then, reaching her hand out to that the younger’s, lacing their fingers together.

“I missed you too Chani, but hey! I’m working on a new series for my YouTube channel, maybe you can help me with putting a few new pieces together?” Val loved dancing with Chani, he was incredibly talented and she’d look for any excuse she could to dance and collaborate with him. This new project of hers was the perfect time to start dancing together again, should he accept.

Valentina was sat on the floor at Chani’s feet, head down as she focused on lacing up her comfortable combat boots. Her dance heels stowed away nicely in the duffle bag sitting beside her on the floor. She hummed as her eyebrows furrowed in thought, she had a “date” that evening with a friend but it was still early. It was only late afternoon, early evening and they weren’t too far from the residential district. They would have plenty of time to chat as they walked home. Her dark brown eyes looked up at the younger boy as she finished lacing up her boots.

“I’d love it if you walked me home, babe. I do have a date of sorts tonight but that is later, so we still have time. I wanna spend more time with my favorite dance partner before we both get busy again.”

“What the hell-” Bobby mutters to himself as he stares down into the dainty little tea cup clasped in his hands, eyeing the floating debris in his cup dubiously. He’d asked for the most popular thing on the menu, in an effort to try new things, but this just tasted like flowers in water and has his nose crinkle in distaste.
