'Duos' is the long term curatorial project of S0MA Art Gallery Berlin. By questioning what relations, intimacies, being together or being alone mean in our life, in our time, the 'Duos' project collaborates with the Philosopher Matthias Haase. For the MPA Performance Festival, 8 artists teams are invited to perform, some of them are duo artists, some of them work as a couple, some they choose collaborator for their performance.

WAITING FOR A MIRACLE Throughout the week of 11th-17th of May Aleks Slota will visit various locations that are associated with political power and wait for a miracle. By miracle he means some sort of tangible and instant improvement in the quality and effectiveness of governance. (Aleks retain the right to define a miracle as he pleases.)

14:00-16:00 at Volkspark Humdoldthaim (starting in Rose Garden in northeast corner). ROAMING THE CITY I A performance capturing the potential and sensibilities of daily life in Berlin. This material will feed into the final presentation “Projecting the Unforeseen” (May 21st).

EXDRESS: TRAUMA, EXCLUSION AND INCLUSION Displaced from their homelands because of war, Sanija Kulenovic and Adi Liraz - respectively of Muslim and Jewish heritage - have been commemorating and exploring their intimate and collective memories, and the regenerative power of shaping new personal histories, through a series of public interventions.
