The 2011 Motion Picture Association of Haiti Movie Awards
Our blogger, Karm, shares her experience at the Motion Picture Association of Haiti Movie Awards Show that was held at UMass Boston on November 20, 2011. The ceremony celebrated actors, actresses, and movies that have helped shape the Haitian movie industry.
The Motion Picture Association of Haiti (MPAH) recently held the first annual MPAH Movie Award. I was invited to be part of the team and I was the usher coordinator and helped out with other tasks. I performed with my students from my dance school. The performance was great and everybody appreciated it. As the night went on, I got to walk the red carpet and take pictures with Haitian celebrities. After the event, I went to the after party where I also had the chance to dance with some of the Haitian filmmakers. I’m glad that I was part of such a great thing and this experience will stay with me forever. Now that this award show is over, I’m looking forward to becoming a committee member next year. Also, I hope that one of my films will be nominated for an award as well.

I wonder how many of you guys cried when you watched Miss Panda and Hedgehog.
Because I did. I just finished watching it last night. I'm still awake till 2:30 am just to finish it. The story was so cute, the character was so cute, Seungji and Dayang's relationship and love story was so cute, everything was so cute! Wae did I cry?? I don't know. I just found myself tearing around the last 3 episodes of MPAH. And I just can't help it 'coz the actors are so great! And I didn't expect Donghae to be that awesome in acting! Seungji's past was so heartbreaking. The compassion that Wonil has for his step brother. aww. Eotteokhe? I love their bromance. Halbae and Seungji's love for each other. :') I just cried and I'm proud of Donghae. So much! This is his drama that I finished for the first time and take note, he made me cry. Donghae oppa, I'm so proud of you!! I love you! 1 - 2 - 3 GO!
