The hoards of generic screaming fangirls have really decreased in quality since Utena’s day.
The other day I was sitting with my (male) friend in a park and I had way too much food so I offered him some and he was like, ‘Sure, and we can look even more like a couple in public than we already do’ and oh my gods it is so true. So the moral of the day is that if you’re going to hang out with one friend of the opposite binary gender in the park you’re just going to have to accept that people will think that you’re dating.
Are you sure you aren’t crushing on the wrong person, RIngo?
Legitimate concern, or shameless guilt trip? You be the judge.
‘Man in lab coat with glowing glasses’ is 100% an Ikuhara character type, but it is a little unusual to see one who’s deliriously happy about moving in with his fiancee rather than, say, his plans to harvest the pure hearts of magical girls.
Ok, I get that traditional gender roles demand that the woman stop working and the man continue to support her, and I get that in Japan it’s kind of a thing that public women often aren’t allowed to have any sort of romance, but it still annoys me slightly that her engagement is apparently enough of a reason for her to give up her apparently very successful acting career.
Interesting. She reaches for the diary, remembers Shouma’s accusing words, and hesitates for a second. Is she finally thinking, would it be better for me to leave it? To take a different path in my life? But she reaches down and picks it up anyway, not ready to let go.
Ok yeah, this is 100% Rose of Versailles. But like, just the end of the French Revolution plot and there doesn’t seem to be any Oscar in it, which makes it a strictly inferior product from my point of view.
Also apparently they decided that the disco ball was a necessary decoration?
