     That’s one morbid way to start a conversation. He blinked at the rather unfamiliar girl, recalling he saw her with Callisto once or twice so at least he knew she was one of the girl’s friends, which also possibly meant she was aware of their growing friendship as well. “I don’t think anyone’s life ending could be classified as any sort of happy ending, but.. I guess you’re right in some aspect. People don’t always find their way to their dreams.” Partially sympathetic smile was flashed, but it soon dissipated as thoughts went straight to his mother, unfortunately. He tried to keep it from showing on his face but knew such was an impossibility, concern mixed with near sorrowful look briefly taking over before he managed to battle for more neutral appearance, hand rubbing at other arm in subconscious comfort. “World and life isn’t always as peaceful and merciful as we’d like to see it as.” Ah how gloomy, made him cringe. “But I don’t think worrying over it would be the best either! Sometimes you just gotta work with what you have and make the best of it, you know? Then.. I believe things will sort themselves out, as long as you stay positive.”

‘So brave. So gallant. So pointless.’

“Me?” Seokjin gives a nervous giggle. “I’m not brave.”

A voice inside his head nags at him. You are pretty useless. You screw everything up. You have no talents. “And I’m trying my best not to be useless.”

‘Would you stay, knowing things will always be a little bit worse?’

“With a guy? No fucking way. That’s dumb. If it’s emotionally worse, I mean. If we’re worse off financially or something, then I don’t give a shit. I have to do what’s good for my mental health.”

“What, those silly manticores and hellhounds from a few weeks ago?” Artemis laughs. “Those were a piece of cake. If you were a Huntress, you’d know all of their weaknesses. As it stands, I cannot let you continue without some of that knowledge, Huntress or not.”

Just a Bit of English

Hayi's just jotting down what the last customer asked her to get prepared for tomorrow, when she hears the door open. She pays it no mind, instead muttering the basics to herself in English: "Okay. Thirty wrapped azaleas, twenty-three - that's oddly specific - trimmed and then wrapped roses..."

Even though Jungkook would have preferred to walk with Eunbi to the party, they decided it’s best just to meet up at City Hall. Jungkook texted Eunbi where he would be so she knows where to find him.

Eventually, he sees someone approaching him. She’s sporting messy hair, fake blood, and some dirt. That must be her. It’s a great costume, in her own unique and creepy way. Somehow, it complimented her very nicely. He didn’t particularly get the movie reference but he decides not to ask about it. He jokes, “Nice costume… it looks like you’re going through finals week.” He gives her a little smile but it may be difficult for her to tell since he’s wearing a mask. His eyes wander to the fake gun on Eunbi’s costume. “By the way, nice gun.” He pulls out a fake gun as well; it’s a pistol. There are also two fake katana swords strapped to his back.

He gestures towards the party. “We should get going.” There are also many other demigods and gods making their way towards City Hall in their costumes. It kind of resembles one huge costume convention. “Are you looking forward to the costume contest?” Even though he isn’t expecting too much out of this party, there is a hint of excitement. Maybe he feels kind of nervous about meeting new people.

Everything felt so weird, it was like she was new to this place she called home for a few months before she had to leave all of the sudden-- but it was the best she could do to keep her and everybody else’s secret safe. After unpacking, she sat up on her bed and sighed, slightly ashamed of how fast she left and knowing that certain someone was probably hurt and blaming himself about it-- but did she really had the courage to face him again. She has done this so many fucking times; what if one day he gets tired of her shit and kicks her out of his life for good? All these thoughts flooded her head as she looked up to the ceiling before standing up in a swift movement. 

No-- she couldn’t allow that. If someone in this life she couldn’t lose, that was Taemin. She had to fix this even if she had to get in her knees. Rushing out of her apartment, she grabbed her jacket and keys, and went downstairs to the street as fast as she could, but not before accidentally bumping onto someone. Usually she has great reflexes, but having her mind busy in something else got her scrambled all over the place. “Watch where you’re going--” She snapped out initially before noticing the girl dropped her purse, and she sighed, crouching down to help her, “Here let me help you.”
